  1. Exceeded Expectations 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Feb 2017

First up, the E14 arrived quickly here in New Zealand and was packaged well. This baby punches well above its weight for its size. I've been comparing it to my 3000 lumen Klarus G20 and on turbo mode it seems just as bright as the Klarus! It heats up quick on turbo and steps down around 40 seconds, but it's worth it for the dazzle. Moonlight is fantastic and set at a perfect level in my opinion. As a result the E14 is highly useable at night in the bedroom and around the house. I love the modes. They take some practice and getting used to but they become intuitive. The modes and the ability to play with the firmware make this a really fun light in addition to being a serious EDC. Flashaholics should love this.

It's a relatively heavy light for its size and I like that. Holding it in my hand, the weight gives it a feeling of quality. If weight is an issue for you, you may want to holster it or opt for something lighter. I love the look of the light also, the copper stands out and gives the E14 a unique look to it.

My other smaller lights include an Olight S10RIII and a the larger S10R Javelot. They are great lights, but carrying the E14 is simply more fun. Overall the E14 has exceeded my expectations. I'm going to get the Manker MK34 on the basis of my satisfaction with this Manker.

  2. Easily worth the wait! 5 Star Review

This is one amazing light! I ordered the Nichia, and the tint, color rendition, and beam quality are beautiful. Operation is easy and wonderful, able to go backwards and forwards in mode. Very nice low modes, and incredibly bright high mode. Fit and finish is superb. To cap it all off, with the purchase of the 18650 tube, it can accommodate CR123 and 18650 batteries. I am elated with this purchase!! Please keep up the great work all you people at Manker!

  3. Powerful EDC 5 Star Review

I have purchased both models of this light and both perform extremely well and I had no issues with delivery just be aware it ships from china so be patient.

After a few months of ownership the build quality is excellent and the brightness with a high drain battery is incredible.

I feel this is an incredible value for the price my only recommendations are to remember you need high drain batteries for max brightness and buy the extension tube to give yourself more battery options.

  4. Surprising quality for the price 4 Star Review

I haven't tried to figure out all the mode settings, but the Manker E14 is a surprisingly good light. Out of the box it has 7 levels and always comes on in a useable moonlight mode. Turbo - accessed through quick clicks - on/off/on, is just nuts. The copper head gets hot quickly! The tint looks great unless you compare it to a high CRI 219B light. It still looks good - it just doesn't have any of the rosy tint and leans more towards brown/green. Still, it is neutral and it does look nice on its own.

I can't imagine using it with the supplied 18350 tube. Not enough distance for your hand to stay away from the head! I suspect that the battery wouldn't last very long. It's a nice size - similar to the Zebralight SC600 - with the 18650 body.

The copper head makes it too heavy for EDC as I am spoiled by small titanium EDC lights, but for dog walking duty its really useful. Nice floody beam with enough power to get 'out there' if you need it.

Overall this light is a great bargain.
